HOMA (Alliance for Iranian LGBTQI+ Justice) is a grassroots initiative founded by Iranian LGBTQI+ activists and human rights defenders, united by a shared commitment to justice, protection, and visibility for queer communities in and outside Iran.
Our extended team includes experienced community organizers, digital security specialists, and human rights advocates who have worked extensively under high-risk and repressive conditions. Together, we build trauma-informed, community-led responses to the unique challenges facing LGBTQI+ Iranians, centering the voices of trans, nonbinary, youth, and ethnically marginalized people in everything we do.
At HOMA, we believe that meaningful change emerges from horizontal leadership, shared responsibility, and intersectional values rooted in feminist and anti-carceral principles.
